9 Reasons Your Family Will Love Fort Worth

We visit Texas quite a bit as Doug’s family lives around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. And though we have been there many, many, times in our 9 years together, not once did we go out and explore. I decided to change that on our last trip and, with the help of the lovely ladies at the Fort Worth CVB, took my family on a whirlwind tour of Fort Worth.

Fort Worth- It’s Not Dallas

I often think of the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth as sisters. Dallas is the younger, flashier sister. The one people think of first. Fort Worth is the sister who holds her beauty a bit closer, inviting you to take some time to get to know her and charming you with her secrets. We fell in love with this “quiet sister” as she enchanted us with her people, history and (of course) food.

8 Things For Your Family to Do in Fort Worth

Fort Worth Stockyards

Fort Worth herd

Cattle Drive Down Exchange Avenue

Plan 3.5 hours

The Stockyards National Historic District is really the birthplace of Fort Worth. Though “Hells Half Acre” is much more tame than it was in it’s early days you’ll get a feel for the blood, sweat and tears that built Fort Worth.

Kids will love the longhorn cattle drive (twice daily at 11:30 am and 4 pm) and following stars along the Texas Trail of Fame. Souvenir shopping is a must; just try to leave without a fabulous cowboy (or cowgirl) hat. The handmade cowboy boots at Leddy’s are true works of art.

Steaks rule at the saloons lining Exchange Avenue, but you’ll find other tasty treats if your appetite isn’t quite so large.

Eat at Joe T. Garcia’s

Poolside Dining at Joe T Garcia's

Poolside Dining on the patio at Joe T Garcia's

Plan 1 to 1.5 hours

Joe T. Garcia’s is Fort Worth’s legendary restaurant for Mexican food. Sitting on the patio is magical; my daughter said it was like eating in a castle. The lunch menu is small but every item is perfected. The kids’ menu includes the largest nacho I’ve ever seen.

Spend an Afternoon at the Fort Worth Zoo

Amusing Apes at the Fort Worth Zoo

This little ape was so playful- we could have watched him for hours

Plan at least 3 hours

Over 500 species of animals fill this zoo and it will take an entire afternoon to see them all. Twelve permanent exhibits take your from Africa to Australia and Texas- and most places in between. The Museum of Living Art showcases some of the most exotic reptiles and amphibians in a habitat that is natural to them.

Texas Wild! was a family favorite. Touring Texas in under an hour can’t be done otherwise and we learned just how varied this huge state is.

Fort Worth Museums and Galleries

The Fort Worth Cultural District is home to 10 museums and galleries. You’ll find everything from modern art to classic masterpieces, a museum dedicated to Leonard’s Department Store, the National Cowgirl Museum and the Museum of Science and History. Because everything in the Cultural District is near each other this makes a great partial or full day outing.

Don’t Miss

National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame

Bronc Riding at the National Cowgirl Museum, Fort Worth

The kids will love Bronc Riding

Plan 1.5 hours

This charming museum showcases the cowgirl, an often overlooked -but vital- part of Western history. Kids will be entranced by the push-button rotating display of rodeo outfits and their opportunity to ride a bucking bronc. More hands on displays include mini-jukeboxes playing classic country western music and the theater with saddle seats. A particularly favorite display features Jessie, the sassy red-headed cowgirl from Toy Story 2 & 3.

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

Water Play at Children's Museum in Fort Worth

I call this "sneaky education"

Plan 2 hours

Inside the Museum of Science and History is the Fort Worth Children’s Museum with plenty of hands on “educational play”. The fun outdoor water stations were especially attractive to my girls.

You’ll also find exhibits like DinoLab where you’ll see Texas’ official state dinosour, Energy Blast where you learn how electricity is created and the Fort Worth History Gallery which features an ever-changing series of stories from Fort Worth’s history.

The Cattle Raisers Museum

Plan 1.5 hours

Cattle ranching fills the history of Texas. Here you’ll “meet” some of the biggest ranchers in the state as well as the famed “Texas Rangers” who have been catching cattle thieves for over 100 years. The branding irons and spurs are sure to spark conversations.

Dine on a Rooftop

Dinner at Reata, Fort Worth

Delicious food, beautiful presentation

Plan 2 hours

You’ll have to make your reservations in advance if you want to dine on the rooftop at the fabulous Reata in downtown Fort Worth but the view of downtown, lit at night, is beautiful. Add to that the delicious food and incredible staff and you’ll have the perfect evening to finish your visit to Fort Worth. Just a tip: don’t skip the desserts!

Fort Worth is filled with family friendly activities- I can’t wait to see what our next visit will reveal!

Family Rambling would like to thank the Fort Worth CVB for planning an exciting itinerary for our visit to Fort Worth!

The Fort Worth Stockyards- a Must See for Families

Fort Worth’s growth really began with it’s Historic Stockyards District Today families can visit the Stockyards, watch a cattle drive and absorb Texas’ cowboy heritage.

Top 6 Things to do in Fort Worth’s Historic Stockyards District

Watch a Cattle Drive

Smiling horse and Drover and Fort Worth Stockyards

Smiling Horse and Drover

You can see a team of drovers guide spectacular Texas Longhorns down Exchange Avenue twice daily, at 11:30am and 4pm.  The afternoon drive is the larger of the two.  While the cattle seem quite tame they can be easily spooked- and with those long horns they can be dangerous.  Be sure to stay on the sidewalks.  Be sure to stop in the Stockyards Visitor Center to learn more about the Chisholm Trail and the cowboys who drove the cattle.

Visit the World’s Largest Honky Tonk

You don’t have to boot-scoot to enjoy a stop at Billy Bob’s Texas.  This massive building can hold 6000 people and has live bull riding on the weekends.  It’s a family friendly place and has a full service restaurant and plenty of fun souvenirs in its shop.  Really, you can’t be so close and not go.

Enjoy a Rodeo

Every Friday and Saturday night the historic Cowtown Coliseum hosts the Stockyards Championship Rodeo.  You’ll see calf roping, barrel racing, and bull riding as well as special kids events.  It’s a special thing to see a rodeo in the place the first indoor rodeo was held.

Follow the Texas Trail of Fame

Texas Trail of Fame, Fort Worth Stockyards

Texas Trail of Fame

Look down at the sidewalk and chances are you’ll see a star memorializing contributors to the “cowboy way of life”.  You’ll likely know quite a few: John Wayne, Teddy Roosevelt and John Stetson to name a few.   But a few more, with their own interesting stories, are waiting to be discovered.  Amanda Burks is believed to have been the first female drover, “Bigfoot Wallace” was a Texas Ranger and “Booger Red” Privett  was a renowned cowboy who owned his own Wild West show.  Check out Texas Trail of Fame website to see the stars and get their incredible bios!

Eat a Big Steak

Steakhouse Fort Worth Stockyards

Texas Sized Steaks

It’s no surprise that beef is on the menu in the Stockyards, and you can expect a Texas-sized serving!  Not in the mood for steak?  You’ll find Tex-Mex and barbecue here, as well as a lovely cupcake shop.  Not far up the road is the fabulous Joe T Garcia’s; my girls said it was like eating in a castle!

Buy a Cowboy (or Cowgirl) Hat

Fabulous Cowgirl Hats, Fort Worth Stockyards

Fabulous Cowgirl Hats

Really, I don’t know that you can visit here and leave without a fabulous cowboy hat.  It may be illegal.  You’ll find every size, from utilitarian to rhinestone bedazzled, here.  And if you’re in the market for some mind-blowing handmade cowboy boots make a stop  at Leddy’s.  Their boots are like works of art.

Tips for Visiting the Historic Stockyards District

Plan on 3 hours, minimum, for your visit.  This will give you time to explore all the historic buildings, watch the cattle drive and do a bit of shopping.  If you plan to eat here add another hour.  For evening meals, especially at Billy Bob’s or Joe T. Garcia’s, inquire about a reservation in advance.

Pick up a map of the stockyards at the visitor’s center.  It’s a deceptively large area and you could miss a lot of it without a guide.

Take time to explore the history here.  Both the Cowboy Hall of fame and the Stockyards Museum are filled with incredible artifacts and cowboy tales worth hearing!

Have you visited the Fort Worth Stockyards?  What was your most memorable experience?

Family Rambling would like to thank the Fort Worth CVB for arranging our itinerary and meeting with the cattle drovers.

Cuisinious Fort Worth Dining

Cuisinious: Food that looks, smells and tastes delectable. (Urban Dictionary)

Fort Worth is filled with fabulous restaurants. Truly. A quick Google search yields nearly 350 highly recommended restaurants. Too many for me to choose from!  So I turned to the pros on all things Fort Worth: the Fort Worth Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, who recommended two restaurants that “wowed” us with ambiance, customer service and delectable food.

Joe T. Garcia’s, Where Fort Worth Goes for Mexican

From the front Joe T. Garcia’s appears to be an intimate restaurant, not flashy nor overly large.

Appearances can be deceiving.

Poolside Dining at Joe T Garcia's, Fort Worth

Poolside Dining at Joe T Garcia's

While the interior of the restaurant may be all those things, the incredible patio- stretching a city block- is, in a word, phenomenal. As we meandered through tables filled with lunch time diners Brenna took my hand and said, “Mom, it’s like we’re eating in a castle.”

Patio Path at Joe T Garcia's, Fort Worth

Wandering the gardens at Joe T Garcia's

The high stone walls surrounding the patio look like a match for the Missions in San Antonio. Fountains, cabanas and pools wait around every turn of the path, twisting walkways lead you through an oasis of flora, seemingly never-ending. Though the patio can seat well over 500 people, the garden setting feels incredibly intimate, almost secluded in spots.

The mixed scents of flowers and Mexican dishes is intoxicating. Over freshly made tortilla chips and salsa made in-house we took out eyes off the surroundings long enough to choose our meal. The menu, perfected over 70 years of business, isn’t large but has enough offerings to please everyone- even the kids.

Lunch at Joe T Garcia's, Fort Worth

Beef Fajitas and Chicken Flautas

Everything at Joe T. Garcia’s is handmade. You can tell from the first bite. And, while you can’t go wrong with anything you order, allow me to highly recommend the Chicken Flautas. Trust me.

Upscale Southwestern at Romantic Reata

When initially entering Reata in downtown Fort Worth the vibe is very Texas. Leather, dark woods, comfy chairs in the lounge. As you walk through it begins to feel more luxurious, romantic and special.

From the beginning we knew dinner would be memorable. As she led us to our table our hostess chatted with my little cowgirls about their new cowgirl hats. A birthday card, signed by the staff, was waiting at the table for Doug. And our server, Ashley, was the epitome of Texas charm.

Dinner at Reata, Fort Worth

Tender filet and grilled shrimp; Elk

The menu had so many choices, each sounding more delicious than the last. We ended up ordering our entrees from the nightly specials; I enjoyed a beautifully prepared filet with shrimp while Doug tried the game special: Elk. The girls split some incredible Macaroni and Cheese- agreeing to share because they had spied the dessert tray as we entered.

Desserts at Reata, Fort Worth

Apple Cobbler, Bread Pudding Tamale, Banana Pudding and Dessert Tacos

While dinner at Reata is outstanding, I would go just for the desserts. They all looked so good that we each ended up ordering our own! Doug and my little cowgirls’ dessert plates may have arrived with special chocolate designs, but my Bread Pudding Tamale (seasonal) stole the show for presentation.

Before waddling out of Reata we took the elevator to the 4th floor and wandered around the incredible rooftop patio. The next time we are in the area I predict the girls will spend an evening with their grandparents while Doug and I enjoy a romantic date.

Know before you go:

Disclosure:  The Fort Worth CVB made our reservations for these dining experiences and the expenses were covered.  We did, however, tip our servers handsomely as they were fabulous!  Photos and thoughts are my own.

Staying at the Gaylord Opryland Resort with Kids

Grand Entry at Gaylord Opryland

Brenna poses on the steps at Opryland

I recently returned to the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee for the 2011 Blissdom Conference.  After my stay last year I was looking forward to returning- and having my family join me!  Doug and the girls drove down after the conference and we spent a couple days enjoying Nashville- and the Opryland Hotel.

An Entire Resort Under One Roof

The Gaylord Opryland covers 4 million square feet.  For reference that’s only slightly smaller than the Mall of America.  It’s incredibly huge and it is easy to get lost in the maze of rooms.  Tip:  Carpets in each section are coordinated to match the section; for example, carpets in the magnolia wing have magnolias on them. Thankfully the hotel gives you a very detailed map upon check in; after a couple days you’ll feel at home.

Inside the biodome- where it’s always 72°- you’ll find gardens filled with waterfalls, gazebos and fountains; the Delta which features shops, restaurants and a river (complete with river boat ride); enough dining options to please every member of your family; and a “secret” arcade your teen can escape to.

Double Conservatory Room at Gaylord Opryland

Rooms at the Opryland are classically decorated and spacious.  Our garden view room was comfortable for our family of four and featured a lovely private balcony which added the illusion of much more space.  The girls loved to sit on the balcony and gaze into the garden below.

Balcony overlooking Conservatory Gardens

Fun at Opryland

My girls had a great time just exploring the gardens.  They would stop at flowers, kneel at fountains, gaze at fish and stretch to touch waterfalls.  It was like a magical faerie land.

Garden Fountain at Gaylord Opryland

Posing with Gaylord Opryland BearThe girls and I had gelato, met the Gaylord Bear and wandered the miles of pathways while Doug rested.  Around every corner they found something else to fascinate, amaze and intrigue them.  Even though it was too cool for swimming we wandered by the outdoor pool areas in the Magnolia and Cascades and imagined how nice they would be if it were warmer. Delta Riverboat at Gaylord Opryland

After Doug had a bit of rest we wandered down to the Delta for a river boat ride and dinner. The Delta Riverboats are replicas of the Mark Twain Mississippi flatboats.  A guide narrates your quarter mile cruise, pointing out interesting trees and plants, and sharing interesting bits of trivia about the Opryland Delta.  The ride is a bit pricy ($9 for adults,$7 for kids) but what other hotel offers a boat ride indoors?

After our cruise we had dinner in the Delta.  At Stax Doug and I “built” our own burgers, while the girls enjoyed pizza from Pisano’s.  When the musical fountain show began food was forgotten as we watched the water dance and shoot upward- almost reaching the roof of the atrium.

The Gaylord Opryland is unlike any other hotel.  If you visit Nashville it should definitely be on your places to visit list- even if you don’t stay.

Quick Facts About the Gaylord Opryland

You may remember that Nashville had a “little” flood last year.  The Gaylord Opryland was closed for 6 months.  I detailed some of the changes made in this article at Uptake: Gaylord Opryland- After the Flood.

The Gaylord Opryland is not budget lodging but you can find great deals on their website.  Also check out their special events throughout the year for family themed fun.  I really want to visit for ICE, the annual winter interactive exhibit.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is the largest combined hotel and convention center under one roof in the world- if your spouse has to attend a conference there tag along and take the kids!  Nashville is filled with history, music and lots of family friendly activities!

Financial Peace and Travel : Dave Ramsey’s Advice + Giveaways

It was one year ago that I first visited Financial Peace Plaza and met Dave Ramsey in person.  Since sharing that story here on Family Rambling it has become the most viewed post on my website.  I think that says a lot about how people are thinking about their money.  My husband and I are heading to Kansas City this weekend to see Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover Live.  We saw it 2 years ago- and have been following the Baby Steps for almost 4 years- but can always use the kick in the rear it gives us.

I was recently in Nashville for a conference and was thrilled to be able to have my family join me.  Before we left Nashville we stopped by Financial Peace Plaza so I could introduce my family to Martha Thompson and let them meet the man behind the voice they hear daily.

We arrived just before 1pm- when Dave begins his talk show- and the girls were immediately drawn to Martha’s Place.

Hanging out in Martha's Place

If you’ve not been to Financial Peace Plaza, Martha’s Place is similar to your favorite coffee shop.  Except the welcome is warmer, the baked goodies are fresher and it’s free.  Martha will spoil the kids (and you).  I can vouch for her hot chocolate and pampering.  Comfortable chairs are scattered around the bookshop (featuring Financial Peace items and books Dave recommends), with high tables in the lobby.

Dave’s studio is separated from the lobby by a large window.  You can watch- and listen- to him work.

The girls watch Dave Ramsey at work

He may even come out to greet you during a break.

Meeting Dave Ramsey

My youngest wanted nothing to do with Dave- she was too busy playing with the small selection of toys in the bookstore.  (For more on visiting Financial Peace Plaza see my post: visiting Financial Peace Plaza.)

How Do You Travel Without a Credit Card?

Despite what people will tell you, it can be done.  We do it.  To begin with- you must have money.  No money, no trip.  Harsh, but simple.  Yes, the rental car company and hotels will probably put a “hold” on your debit card to make sure sufficient funds are available.  Which goes back to …  you must have money.  Don’t let your vacation follow you home!

Tips for using debit cards on vacation:

  • Visa debit card has the same protections as a credit card.  That means zero liability on fraudulent activity.  Which means it is safe to take on vacation.
  • Let your bank know before you go overseas.  If they don’t know you are gone, or see a lot of overseas activity on your card they could freeze it.
  • Increase your daily limits before you leave on vacation- just to be sure you can buy that “must have” souvenir.
  • Take the time to speak to a person- and get their name- at rental car agencies and hotels when you make your reservations.  Get their debit card policies.  I’ve never had a problem using a debit card, but I’ve heard that some people have.  Take notes: dates, name of the person you spoke to (try to talk to a manager), any “hold” amounts that may be charged, and how long the “hold” will last.
  • Know your daily and total vacation budget.  You may not have access to online banking while you’re away.  Knowing how much you can spend per day will keep you on budget.

Visiting Dave Ramsey at Financial Peace Plaza in Brentwood, Tennessee

Live like no one else so later you can live like no one else.
~Dave Ramsey

It may seem a bit peculiar at first glance for a traveler to visit a place where debt is dumb and cash is king.  After all, many people run up credit card bills to take the vacation of their dreams.  We were once the same.

I was recently in Nashville for a conference and couldn’t resist making the short drive out to Brentwood to meet Dave Ramsey and see him do the radio show live.

Before you go I strongly suggest contacting Financial Peace Plaza to make sure Dave will be in when you want to visit.  The office building is very easy to get to, though I was a bit nervous before heading in.  It’s not everyday you meet someone who has impacted your life as much as Dave has impacted ours.

Walking into the building is almost like entering a coffee shop.  Tables, chairs, and even a couch are set up to make the area inviting for visitors.  You can watch Dave in his studio through a large window or on a television, which also shows the line up of callers and how much time before commercial break.

Financial Peace Plaza- Dave Ramsey Show

To complete the coffee shop feel enter “Martha’s Place”.  Drinks and tasty goodies made by Martha Thompson, director of guest relations, are the perfect accompaniment to Dave’s financial advice.  Or take some time to wander around the small shop.  All of Dave’s books are available here, as are his financial tools, accessories and books he recommends from other authors.

Martha at Financial Peace PlazaIf she isn’t too busy take time to chat with Martha.  Her warm personality will instantly draw you in.  Martha is very interested in hearing your “coming to Dave” stories and your tales of debt- and, hopefully, of your freedom from debt.  In all honesty I think I may have enjoyed my time with Martha more than I enjoyed meeting Dave.  Of course I spent much more time with Martha…  She exudes southern charm and hospitality and you can feel that you are an honored guest.

The day I visited Martha had a few minutes and gave me a tour.  First stop : the control room and a quick introduction to Blake, Matt and Laura.

Control Room Financial Peace Plaza

The timing was perfect and Dave was getting ready for a break.  Martha took me around the corner and slowly opened the door.  Getting the “ok” from Dave, she led me into the studio and I got to meet Dave Ramsey.  It was, obviously, a short meeting.  I *think* I thanked Dave for all his advice and teaching.  Before leaving Martha snapped a picture of me with Dave.

Me and Dave Ramsey

Martha then continued the behind-the-scenes tour showing me photos, employee areas, sharing perks of working at LAMPO and pointing out Dave’s new Marconi Award.

Dave Ramsey's Marconi Award

Behind the reception desk in the lobby are a selection of Dave’s favorite quotes.  If you listen to either of Dave’s shows you are sure to know a few of them.

While Financial Peace Plaza isn’t a destination on everyone’s Nashville itinerary it’s definitely a great stop for a boost of inspiration and a kick in the pants if you are working to become debt free.

For an amazing stay in Nashville I highly recommend the Opryland Hotel.  It’s in no way a “budget” hotel but it is incredible.

Views From the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville

I was at a conference at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel last week (no, not that one…  this one).  And while I didn’t experience a lot outside the conference goings on (it was a busy four days, ya’ll) I did take some time off to leisurely stroll through the gardens, walk by the river and rest in a gazebo.

I may not have mentioned that the Opryland Hotel has almost 2900 rooms, multiple ballrooms and exhibit space, 6 fine dining restaurants, 3 lounges, 8 eateries, 14 shops, a nightclub, a spa and an arcade.  It’s beyond huge.

The staff at the Opryland Hotel are spectacular.  From the bellman who helped us unload seemingly endless bags, to the front desk staff who checked us in later than we planned, to our housekeeper, to the staff that served and cleaned up after 500+ conference goers, to the bellman who took even more bags from our room and loaded them in the van everyone, and I honestly mean everyone, exudes what is commonly called Southern hospitality.

I mentioned that the hotel is huge.  In fact I took a wrong turn -twice- trying to get to the reception wing to check in.

Upon entering the reception lobby you immediately notice the columns surrounding an incredible stained glass dome.

Stained Glass Skylight Lobby Gaylord Opryland Hotel

The concierge desk sits directly below.  I actually laid on the floor to get a really good shot of the different images in the dome.

Stained Glass Skylight Lobby Gaylord Opryland Hotel

Isn’t it gorgeous?  Check in is to the right (and also the left when it is very, very busy) through the arches.  A lovely case showcases the Gibson guitars you can rent by the day- it is Music City, after all.

Lobby Check-in Gaylord Opryland Hotel

At check in you are given a map to help you find your room- which will also come in handy as you navigate the acres of hotel later on.

Room at Gaylord Opryland HotelOur room was very nice with a lovely view of the outdoor courtyard.  It had two double beds, an amoire with TV and a desk.

The bathroom had a marble vanity and tiled floor and shower.  Water pressure was strong.  A second vanity with sink was just outside the bathroom- which was great for a room filled with women.

After our long drive I just wanted to eat warm food and have a pint, so we went to Findley’s Irish Pub.  Lively traditional music was being played as we watched the Brazilian men at the table next to us have drinking contests with Guinness.  (I do wonder how they felt the next morning.)  My Scotch Egg was thin on the sausage and seemed a bit overcooked but my companions enjoyed their fish & chips and large salad.  The pint was wonderful.

Walking back to our room I noticed the hotel actually has a radio station in it.  650am WSM broadcasts live24 hours a day.

650 am WSM Nashville Gaylord Opryland Hotel

I took some time off from my conference just to wander through the hotel.  The Delta has beautiful gardens, shops, a 1/4 mile river (with boat tours and a swamp creature) and buildings that bring you into the deep South.

Views of the Delta Gaylord Opryland Hotel

I may have gone a bit overboard but I couldn’t help photographing the flowers.  Such beautiful riots of color were welcomed as my landscape at home is covered in snow!

Flowers in the Delta Gaylord Opryland Hotel

From the Delta you can enter the convention center in grand style.

Entering the Convention Center from the Delta Gaylord Opryland Hotel

The Cascades and the Garden Conservatory flowed together for me…  Beautiful waterfalls, relaxing gazebos and paths to stroll…  I could feel the tension melting out of me as I wandered here.

Cascades and Garden Conservatory Gaylord Opryland Hotel

A note on wandering through the hotel:  While the hallways are carpeted the pathways through the conservatory, the cascades and the delta are brick or concrete.  They may be slippery (this is, basically, a biodome).  While heels are ok for short periods I suggest a cute flat with a soft insole.  I speak from experience.

Because most of our food was catered by the hotel (and was delicious) I didn’t get a chance to experience the restaurant offerings.  We had an event at the Jack Daniel’s Saloon which featured some yummy appetizers but the most beautiful meal we had was at the Ristorante Volare.  A lovely salad, eggplant Parmesan served over tortellini and tiramisu  for dessert.  Mmmm…

Ristorante Volare Gaylord Opryland Hote

I am very much looking forward to our return trip to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel; at the end of the conference I won a two night stay in an atrium view room.  I can’t wait for my girls to see this hotel!

About the Gaylord Opryland

Room rates begin at $219 per night for traditional view, $284 for atrium garden view.

Be sure to check specials and packages; the hotel has multiple events throughout the year.

Parking is an additional charge; $25 per night for valet, $18 per night self park.
