Sometimes pictures just aren’t enough. Sometimes you want to be able to share a more “interactive” view of your vacation or activities. Pictures may be worth 1000 words but a video is a book.
I really wanted a video camera for my birthday but I was hesitant because most of them are bulky and expensive. Then I heard about the Flip Ultra Camcorder. Small (just slightly bigger than a cellphone) and affordable (under $200 for the 60 minute memory) it was perfect for me!
The Flip’s measurements are 4.17″x2.16″x1.25″ and the display screen is 1.5″. It has 2GB memory (about 60 minutes worth of video time) and 2x zoom.
With only four buttons it’s incredibly easy to use. Uploading is a breeze because the USB arm “flips” out the side of the camera and attaches right to your PC (there is an optional USB extention cable). The software is in the camera and you can edit and download to email or the internet quicly and easily. You can even get still shots from your videos.
And to tote your new toy around I highly recommend a visit to Janine King Designs. Her gadget keeper is the perfect size for the Flip Ultra. Great quality for just a couple dollars more than you would spend on an “official” Flip case (which I had. It broke within a day and was very poor quality). Janine has dozens of fun prints (and lots of other great stuff!)
