My family did many of the St Louis activities when we visited in 2009. And if you get to choose the hotel, we highly recommend the Omni Majestic.
Because Kansas City is only 3 hours from our home, we visit often. There are many great family activities near Crown Center, including the World War I Museum, Union Station and Kaleidoscope.
Kansas City is awesome! We stayed in the Hilton downtown and took advantage of covered walkways and sidewalks. We went outside downtown sightseeing but really preferred staying by our hotel. Science city, Hallmark etc was just awesome!
