Mr Bubble’s Fab BubbleBash & a Great Giveaway

Last Updated on May 24, 2013 by

I can’t even begin to explain how much fun my family had at Mr Bubble’s 50th birthday bash at the Waterpark of America.  Everything was so well planned and executed…  And even though we had to work while we were there, even that was fun!  We need to thank the great partners who made the party possible.

Mr. Bubble’s parent company, The Village Company of Chaska, Minnesota, hosted the bubble bash.  They throw a darn good party!  In addition to the bubbly goodness of Mr Bubble they also make a wonderful line of adult bath products.  I highly recommend the Aches and Pains Relief Mineral Bath Soak (great for a tired mom after a long weekend!)

Radisson Hotel and Waterpark of America in Bloomington, Minnesota

The party took place at the Waterpark of America located inside the Radisson Hotel.  Our room, overlooking the waterpark, was so incredibly spacious; it was almost a suite.  The bathroom was large with an additional large sink area in the hall so we had plenty of room for everyone to get ready without being in anyone’s way.  The girls had their own “room inside our room” complete with two bunk beds (4 beds total), a chest of drawers and television.  Another very nice touch: individual night nights at the head of each bed.

Doug and I enjoyed our own space with queen bed, table and plenty of counter space and drawers for our clothes and things.  We had a waterpark view from our balcony and though the waterpark was very noisy the doors did a terrific job of blocking the sound.

Thoughtful additions to the room were a nice sized refrigerator (great for light snacks and breakfast), a safe and pegs to hang wet swimsuits.

The Waterpark of America is huge- billed as “America’s Biggest Indoor Waterpark”- so it’s good to have a plan.  Linda at Travels with Children has terrific tips for a trip to the waterpark.

No trip to Bloomington is complete without a stop at the Mall of America.  Nickelodeon Universe provided us with unlimited ride passes and we spent a fabulous 5 hours at the mall.  Yes, 5 hours.  We took the girls on the log chute once.  As you can see from Brenna’s expression she wasn’t thrilled with it.  Caelan, on the other hand, was completely calm.

We finished our trip with a late lunch at TGIFridays. Stretchy cheese sticks, yummy burgers and a hibachi skewer for me and we were on the road toward home.

FOX 9 Twin Cities

I also want to thank Todd Walker and FOX 9 for the live broadcasts before the party.  We had a great time with you!

  4. When I was a little girl about the age of 7 or 8 we had a dog named Shep and he loved kids. He would pull us on our sleds and held the rope on one end for us to jump rope and he loved to catch bubbles. He would spend hours catching bubbles with me. One day I was sitting on the front steps blowing bubbles for Shep to bust and at the last second I leaned forward just as Shep went to burst the bubble and I got bit on the cheek. It didn’t really hurt that much , I didn’t even cry and poor Shep felt so bad he just sat there licking my bite for at least an hour. I didn’t want to tell my Mother because I knew it was a accident and I didn’t want Shep to be in trouble. I finally had to tell her what happened because she obviously saw it and she wanted to know what happened. Of course Shep was forgiving once I explained it was all my fault and we spent many more hours blowing bubbles together but we both weren’t so eager to pop them at the same time 🙂
