Recordable Storybooks from Hallmark

Continue your bedtime ritual when you're far from home

While I do most of my traveling with my girls on tow, there are times when I venture off on my own- or with my husband, if I'm really lucky!- and my girls spend time with their grandmother or aunts, uncles and cousins.  They don't miss me as much as I would like to think they do when I'm away, but I know they miss the evening ritual of a bedtime story.

Just before I left for the BlissDom conference a couple weeks ago, a package arrived from conference sponsors.  In it was a recordable storybook from Hallmark called All the Ways I Love You.  I managed to hide the book from my girls (who think that every package that arrives on our doorstep must be for them), recorded myself reading the story and set it on the kitchen table for the girls to find when they woke. My youngest, who is attuned to my every waking moment, wandered downstairs before I left.  I gave the book to her as I made breakfast.  She “read” it three or four times before her sister made it downstairs.  “Hey Brenna!” she said excitedly, “you have to see this awesome book that reads itself!”

According to my husband the book was “read” constantly while I was away.  Thanks, Hallmark, for helping keep our bedtime ritual in tact while I was away!

  1. i would love this book for samantha (my 6 year old) so her grandma would read to her even though we are over 1000 miles away. this would be something sweet to keep them connected even though they are so far apart

  2. I would give this treasure to my 3 littles. I go out of town a few times a year and they would really enjoy it~and I would enjoy knowing they can hear my voice whenever they want.

  3. Hey lady. I thought of you as I planned this years Sweetheart Supper. Of course it was a blast. I posted a little review of it last night complete with pictures.

Love these recordable books. Haven’t purchased one yet but they’re super cute. The recordable books are quite popular in the adoption community when parents leave kids at home and travel to get a sibling internationally.

    Have a great day!
