Texas has long been a destination for my family as Doug's family lives there. I joke that I am sure there are fun things to do around Dallas but we never get to do them because we spend all our time with his family! So when I was asked to share Texas on Tour with ya'll I was thrilled because there is so much in Texas that I haven't seen!
Texas on Tour
Texas on Tour has visited 6 locations across the US and will end with appearances at the Ohio State Fair (July 27-July31), the Iowa State Fair (August 11-August 21) and the Minnesota State Fair (August 25-August 28). Step inside the 30-foot dome enclosed theater and you'll be transported to Texas through entertaining, educational and personalized experiences- virtual reality kayaking anyone?- green screen video, interactive games and live music. The only thing missing is a taste of Texas Pit BBQ.
Everything's Bigger in Texas
Such true words! Texas is our second largest state and has the diversity in landscape and culture of at least 5 states, combined. From the birth of Texas at the Alamo to the glittering skyline of Dallas, Texas stretches before you offering an incredible array of attractions, lodging, food and entertainment. But I don't have to convince you- I'll let Texas on Tour do that! Visit the website and try the Texas or Not challenge- you may be surprised what you learn!
I'm Going to Texas
I'll be making it a point to visit Texas on Tour at the Iowa State Fair. I hope it will give me some tips for our trip to Dallas in October. Do you plan to visit Texas on Tour at any of the fairs I mentioned? Or have you seen it already? Did it make you want to visit Texas?
Tip: Make sure to visit the Texas on Tour website to enter to win a trip for two to Texas!
